Request Account Deletion
This page is for users of the SpeakDaily Android app who want to request deletion of their SpeakDaily account and associated app data.

Steps to Delete Your Account
- Email support@speakdaily.app or use the request button on this page.
- Include your SpeakDaily account email, display name, or any details that help us identify your account.
- Confirm that you want your SpeakDaily account and associated app data deleted.
- We may ask for additional verification before deleting the account to protect user data from unauthorized requests.
- After verification, we will delete or anonymize the account data described below.
Deleting the app from your device does not automatically delete your SpeakDaily account or cloud data. You must submit a deletion request using this page or the support email above.
Data We Delete
When your request is verified, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with your SpeakDaily account, including:
- Account profile information, such as display name and account identifier.
- Learning progress, daily lesson activity, streaks, achievements, level, and language preferences associated with the account.
- Vocabulary, grammar, game activity, and progress tracking records associated with the account.
- Group membership records, current group association, and weekly score records associated with the account.
- Support messages and content reports associated with the account, unless retention is required for safety, fraud prevention, legal, or support-quality reasons.
- Firebase Authentication account data where applicable.
Data We May Keep
Some information may be retained for a limited period where necessary, including:
- Purchase and subscription records needed for billing, tax, accounting, refund, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
- Records processed by Google Play Billing, which are managed by Google according to Google Play policies.
- Security logs, abuse-prevention records, diagnostics, and crash data needed to protect the app and users.
- Aggregated or anonymized analytics that no longer identify a specific user.
- Backup copies that remain temporarily before they are overwritten or expire.
Deletion Timeline and Retention Period
We aim to process verified account deletion requests within 30 days. If we need more information to verify the account, the timeline may begin after verification is complete.
Backup copies and security logs may remain for up to 90 days before deletion or expiration. Information that must be kept for legal, billing, fraud prevention, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes may be retained for as long as required by applicable law or legitimate business needs.
SpeakDaily Plus Subscriptions
If you have an active SpeakDaily Plus subscription, deleting your SpeakDaily account does not automatically cancel billing through Google Play.
To avoid future charges, cancel your subscription in Google Play: open Google Play, go to Payments and subscriptions, choose Subscriptions, select SpeakDaily, and cancel the subscription.
